Blue Line flag proudly raised at Hoboken City Hall

To commemorate Police Week, Hoboken City Mayor Ravinder Bhalla had originally planned to hold a flag-raising event in front of police headquarters using the White Police Memorial Flag.

However, Hoboken Local 2 members suggested that the mayor instead raise the Blue Line Flag at a ceremony in front of City Hall.

Union members advised that placing the flag in front of City Hall would allow for it to be seen by more people and show the city’s unequivocal support for its police officers, according to Local 2 President Marc Marsi.

The mayor not only agreed with the union’s request, but publicly made a speech praising law enforcement officers nationwide.
