NJSPBA members awarded for their service with special victim cases

During the 24th Annual Sex Crimes Conference, hosted by the New Jersey Sex Crimes Officers Association (NJSCOA), many NJSPBA members were honored with prestigious awards for their service in high-profile special victim cases and child exploitation investigations.

The conference, held from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 at the Seaview Hotel in Galloway, included guest speakers from federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, who discussed the current and emerging trends of investigating these cases.

On Nov. 30, the conference began with a swearing-in ceremony for the new NJSCOA executive board members and the NJSCOA annual award ceremony.

The 2022 awards included the Outstanding Law Enforcement Award, honoring officers who have exemplified excellence in a sex crimes or child abuse investigation, and the Krisza Lifetime Achievement Award, given to members who have more than 20 years of service and have dedicated their careers to the field of sex crimes and child abuse investigations.

The 2022 award recipients, who excelled above and beyond in their service, included members from Linden Local 42, Camden County Prosecutors Office Local 316, Mercer County Prosecutors Office Local 339, Union County Prosecutors Office Local 250 and Middlesex County Prosecutors Office Local 214.
